I designed this with a very specific country music duo in mind, but I won’t say who because it doesn’t matter. I have a soft spot in my heart for kinetic sculpture, especially these sorts of elegant, flowing pieces that masterfully evoke the organic movements of the natural world. These come from New York-based artist Bob Potts: Bob Potts – Ascension from M.A.D.Gallery on Vimeo. Bob Potts – Denizen Of The Deep from M.A.D.Gallery on Vimeo. I’d love to have an artist with music that feels right for this organic, over-wrought mechanical sort-of feel to be appropriate for the set design, though I’m sure it would be expensive to fabricate and difficult to transport.
