I’ve been working on this website a lot lately, backend stuff involving the responsive bit that will eventually make it look a LOT better on mobile devices. So this post is a day late. I love dichroic glass. This lamp cleverly uses dichroics to play with the colors of light, the colors changing based on the angle of the wall. When switched off, the mirrored surface reflects light in an array of dazzling colors.

Via Better Living Through Design comes the Goccia Suspension Light, a beautiful piece of lighting art. The website says the colors were inspired by those found underwater. They claim “unique diffusion” patterns of the material the lamp is made from – something called Opalflex – but I think it’s just a very cool looking, unique lamp.
